QOVOLT
Installation and commissioning

Is special installation required to start up a QOVOLT Quantum equipment?

Commissioning without construction or complex installation

The equipment in the Quantum Air Laser range (Q3A, Q5A and Q9A) are designed to be operational in less than 5 minutes from unboxing. They require no hydraulic installation, external chiller, or three-phase power supply: a standard 230 V AC single-phase plug (compatible between 180 and 270 V) is all that is needed to start.

This completely air-cooled architecture (IP55) eliminates all the infrastructure associated with water systems: pipes, tanks, pumps and the maintenance they entail. The result is equipment that can be installed in any workshop without prior construction work.

What you need before welding

  • Single-phase 230 V power outlet — available in any standard industrial installation.
  • Argon gas supply — used as shielding gas, standard in the industry.
  • Adequate workspace — the compact footprint of Quantum equipment makes placement easy even in workshops with limited space.

Is it advisable to have support during commissioning?

Although Quantum equipment is ready to work from day one, if this is your first experience with laser welding, having the support of a specialized QOVOLT distributor during the initial steps is a smart decision. Laser welding opens possibilities that other processes do not offer — including materials like aluminum, which can be demanding with conventional technologies — and an initial orientation session allows you to get maximum performance from the equipment from day one.

In summary: installation is minimal and autonomous, but technical support is always added value when making the leap to this technology.
